The Impact of COVID on Parents Involved in Child Welfare
Parents whose children have been separated from them and placed in foster care struggle in unimaginable ways. The current pandemic has amplified the challenges child welfare systems face in supporting parents in reunifying safely with their children as quickly as possible.
The Birth Parent National Network (BPNN), Children’s Trust Fund Alliance (Alliance) and Casey Family Programs (CFP) are hosting a webinar to lift up the experiences of parents as they navigate the child welfare system and strive to be with their children. This webinar will highlight how the current pandemic is keeping parents from seeing their children and accessing necessary services to support reunifying safely with their children as quickly as possible.
