The Unlearning of Child Welfare

We are excited to announce that we are partnering with the Institute for Family for a three-part webinar series – The Unlearning of Child Welfare: A National Conversation to Advance Child and Family Well-Being. The third conversation is happening on Thursday December 10th at 3pm EST and will feature Dr. Jerry Milner, Associate Commissioner, Children’s Bureau.

The conversation will be hosted by Jaquia Wilson, Institute for Family, and Keri Richmond, American Academy of Pediatrics and feature a dynamic group of guests.

There is a growing movement across the county to rethink child welfare and create something new to address the conditions that can strengthen families. As we work to reduce our reliance on foster care, we also need to remain focused on improving our foster care system. This conversation will feature a dynamic group of people and focus on how we can make foster care a more just and equitable experience for kids and families.  CLICK HERE
